More About Our Company

Lorien Nemec Butler yoga Instructor_0972Lorien has been a student of yoga since 1999. She completed her 200 hour teacher training with Charm City Yoga in 2006 and her 500 hour advanced teacher training in 2014.  She sees the path of yoga as a means of awakening one’s greatest potential, and encourages students to discover yoga beyond the physical practice of the asanas (postures) to tap into the deep source of their inner wisdom and experience connection with all that is. Lorien’s intention as a teacher is to assist students in cultivating a practice that will benefit not only their bodies, minds, and spirits, but also will allow the awareness gained on the mat to be extended out into the world for the benefit and enlightenment of all beings.

Guided by the breath, students are encouraged to modify postures as necessary so that the body is honored, the breath is free-flowing, and the mind is focused. Using these guidelines, students can practice safely with the intention of developing and sustaining their practice for a lifetime. Classes regularly include asana in the vinyasa style (mindful movement guided by the breath), pranayama, (breathwork), meditation, and end with an in-depth shavasana (corpse pose, relaxation), allowing the body to cool off in alignment and freeing the consciousness to go beyond the layers of the body and mind to settle in awareness of the true self.

Please contact Lorien with questions and insights about yoga, self-actualization, and living an empowered life. She would love to hear from you.
