When you have an idea; where do you start? If you’re lying awake and searching the internet for answers, you’ve found the right place. I know I’ve been frustrated with my thoughts and why can’t I get past the repeating patterns that hold me back. If everything is going well in one area of your life, but your relationships suck, and you can’t figure it out, perhaps it’s a subconscious limiting belief. We’ve heard of the power of positivity, but f*ck that when you’re alone, tired and fed-up. I get it! You don’t want to hear about another gratitude journal or mindset reframing.
The 5 Second Rule: Mel Robbins is an inspiration and help along the entrepreneurial path. She is funny and poignant. There are always gems of wisdom that apply to REAL life! I recommend her to anyone who is seeking to become a better version of themselves. I often use her technics to move and take ACTION.

The Art of Work: A Proven Path to Discovering What You Were Meant to Do. “I used to think that your calling was about doing something good in this world. Now I understand it’s about becoming someone good—and letting that goodness impact the world around you.” “the paradox of vocation. We think that passion comes first, that our desire is primary; but if we are truly called, the work always comes before we are ready. We will have to act in spite of feeling unprepared.” “The path to your dream is more about following a direction than arriving at a destination.” and this quote from Jeff is particularly helpful in understanding “Flow is the intersection of what you are good at and what challenges you—where difficulty and competency meet. When your competency exceeds the difficulty of a task, you are bored. And when the difficulty exceeds your competency, you are anxious.”
― Jeff Goins

Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert. She’s a fabulous writer and now she shares her amazing insights on facing fears and harnessing them toward your best creative life. Calling in “The One”: 7 Weeks to Attract the Love of Your Life. “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
― Marianne Williamson

The Four Desires by Rod Stryker When I was lost and wasn’t sure of where I was going in life after my divorce, I took quite a few weekend long workshops. My most impactful was also the most enduring. My copy of Rod Stryker’s book is well worn, dog eared, tabbed and referenced heavily. I originally purchased this at a long weekend immersion session with Rod at The Himalayan Institute in Honesdale PA. That was April 27th, 2012 almost exactly to the day 1 year before my near-death accident 4-28-13. The personal notes and guidance have been invaluable for cultivating the life of my dreams. I have been on this yoga enriched journey since 2003 when I was overweight, out of shape and with chronic back and wrist pain. Yoga began to bring me into shape, eliminate the pain and get strong. I attribute yoga and my daily practice to save me when I flew off the motorcycle at high speed. I’ve since learned how staying true to your desires serves not only in personal, but business life. It’s THE most valuable book I’ve listed here that will serve you toward gaining insight on your life’s purpose as well as meditation tools to help guide and shift inner clarity and bring calm when stress seeks to bring you down. If the Buddha Got Stuck: A Handbook for Change on a Spiritual Path “Staying loyal to your journey means you never abandon yourself by compromising your integrity or discounting your intuition or the signals that come from your body—the knot in the gut, emotional detachment, or loss of energy that signals something is amiss.” “Every time we open one door, we close another…. Yet we also need to remind our ego that love means letting go of our entrenched rituals, of comparing, of wanting life to stay the same…Entering a relationship and living in the heart of the Beloved means our life will change, our shells will crack open and we will never be the same again.”
― Charlotte Kasl
